Pursuing a target into the mountains of Northern Canada, professional assassin Madison Hailey is waylaid by a snowstorm that goes on for days. Forced to wait out the storm in a small town nestled in the mountains, Madison quickly finds herself enchanted and intrigued by the friendly and welcoming townspeople.

But when she becomes the center of some unwanted attention from someone with distant ties to her and her way of life, Madison's forced to change her plan and go on the defensive. To protect herself and those she's come to care about, Madison must rely on resources as mysterious as the threat she's facing.

Local bush pilot Jeremy Lance didn't deny that he was immediately attracted to Madison, or that he knew there was more to Madison than she was letting on. Her reaction to a seemingly random and violent crime proving his instinct was right, the two go to battle fighting to trust each other, while at the same time giving in to their undeniable attraction.

To survive, but also to protect Jeremy and his family, Madison's forced to keep changing her plan. The only constant is the necessity to eliminate the threat to her newfound happiness.
