Chelsea Football Club: Treasured Memories, Paperback

The book is written by a Blues supporter of nearly sixty years standing who describes many happy (and some not so happy ) events which have taken place during his long association with Chelsea Football Club. It is a nostalgic trip down memory lane which, for the older supporter, might bring back memories of a bygone age. Also, for the younger element who have tasted so much success it might possibly be something of an eye opener Although primarily aimed at the Chelsea fan, the book refers to players of other clubs and also includes some humorous cricketing anecdotes thrown in for good measure. On that basis it might appeal to sporting devotees generally, even to supporters of a different hue

About the Author:

The author was educated in London just around the corner from Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football Club. It was therefore a natural progression that he would opt for Chelsea as his favourite football team from an early age. To put it in perspective the author has the distinction of witnessing the legendary Jimmy Greaves make his first Division One appearance at Stamford Bridge. Over fifty years on the devotion to the club remains unabated and will continue for all time. The Chelsea odyssey has been a long and eventful one, often stressful along the way. Aside from soccer the author takes a keen interest in other sports including cricket, rugby union and horse racing. He is also an avid reader of contemporary thrillers and other literary works. Having qualified as a Solicitor many years ago the author spent most of his legal career specialising in real estate transactions. Following his retirement the author wrote an e-book entitled "Housebuyers Beware!" which has been published on the Amazon Kindle platform. That book is designed to prepare first time buyers for complexities which could arise when buying a home. Now that the Chelsea FC book has been completed it is hoped that others with a sporting theme will follow in due course.
