Alan Brown is a professor of English at the University of West Alabama in Livingston who has written extensively about the folklore of Alabama and the rest of the South as well. When he is not teaching or writing, Brown plays with his grandsons, Cade and Owen, and gives ghost tours of the city of Livingston and UWA's campus.
