Emily Hashimoto is a queer writer of color from the suburbs of New Jersey. She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in women's and gender studies, and her MS in Information Science from Pratt Institute. She has received fellowships from VONA and Queer Arts. Her nonfiction writing has appeared in Catapult, Out, The Rumpus, LitHub, Bitch Magazine, and more. She lives in New York City with her wife and child.
