Absurd/addressing negative comment: (1) "little more than forms"; I'm a CPA - who worked his way up through the Full-Charge position, and I describe in FULL DETAIL each and every bookkeeping task (people can, apparently, say anything they want-this is crazy). I'm sorry to hear this individual was disappointed, but it's NOT AT ALL FAIR - NOR ACCURATE - what s/he is saying. My mostly 5-star ratings would attest to that (2) it's a course by way of a study outline, which is organized by bullet points (approximately one bullet point per paragraph of text), and then a test bank of questions - to test your knowledge; (3) apparently, i went a little overboard on "selling" the certification at the end of the book (i will tone that down); but know this: the certification was not my idea, in the first place; an adult education teacher in California (who deserves a lot of credit for what she's doing) requested it; and it's not a bad idea (to be able to "prove" your knowledge); (4) don't let the unassuming / plain english style fool you (coverage of tasks and topics is there; i wouldn't be good with me if i didn't cover everything) Get this outstanding how-to book on bookkeeping, written by a nationally published CPA, with extensive bookkeeping, corporate and public accounting experience // *Covers ALL of the tasks: like Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Payroll, Payroll Taxes, Financial Statements... *Covers all ALL of the Topics: like Industry specifics; Insurance... >Includes Checklists: like the New Job Checklist & the Master Calendar. >Includes All Forms a Bookkeeper Might Need: like Petty Cash Receipts, Record Retention Form, etc. //Book = 112 pages in 12 Chapters & 8 Appendices, 8.5" x 11" // Home Study Course Edition = Book + 40 Page Study Outline + 20 Page Test Bank // >What is a full-charge bookkeeper?
