Haunted Broughton: Tales from the Graveyard Shift, Paperback

Strange but true stories of paranormal and ghostly happenings experienced by an R.N. (the author) and her co-workers during the graveyard shift at Broughton Hospital, a 100-plus year old psychiatric facility for mentally ill patients in Western North Carolina. Formerly called the Western North Carolina Insane Asylum, the facility definitely has many unexplained happenings. Margaret tells the stories she collected from her peers as well as things she experienced while working there during her 16 1/2 years. The hospital itself, an old Kirkbride design, is a valuable historical artifact, and is still in use today.

About the Author:

Margaret Langley now lives in eastern North Carolina with her husband Lew. They have many interests which include photography, traveling, cooking, metal detecting, and dancing. As far as writing goes, Margaret has been writing poetry since her high school days. This is her first effort at writing a book. She became a nurse in 1993 and went to work at Broughton Hospital in 1994. She has been working nights for most of the last 17 years. Contrary to popular belief, Margaret does not look for ghosts. When she was least expecting it, a paranormal event took place in front of her. When she shared her story with others, she found that she was not alone in experiencing paranormal events at Broughton Hospital. She feels that these events should be recorded, and what you are now holding in your hands is the end result of tht conviction. While Margaret cannot guarantee all of the stories are true, every event that happened to her is the truth. So get ready to be scared....BOO!
