In this memoir-like collection, Anzald a's powerful voice speaks clearly and passionately. She recounts her life, explains many aspects of her thought, and explores the intersections between her writings and postcolonial theory. For readers engaged in postcoloniality, feminist theory, ethnic studies, or queer identity, Interviews/Entrevistas will be a key contemporary document.
Gloria E. Anzald a is the author of Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza, Friends from the Other Side/Amigos del otro lado, and Prietita and the Ghost Woman/ Prietita y la Llorona, editor of Making Face, Making Soul/Haciendo Caras: Creative and Critical Perspectives by Women of Color, and co-editor of This Bridge Called My Back: Writings by Radical Women of Color. Anzald a has played a pivotal role in redefining US feminisms, cultural studies, Chicano/a issues, US American literature, ethnic studies, queer theory, and postcolonial theory.AnaLouise Keating is Associate Professor of English at Aquinas College.
