After six years of General Practice he furthered his training with Masters and Johnson, Albert Ellis and other pioneers in the field of Sex Therapy and was subsequently certified as a sex therapist in Canada and the U.S.A.. Dr. Silverberg conducted a private practice in Toronto Canada helping thousands of individuals and couples during his forty years of practice.
