Tom Brokaw is the author of seven bestsellers. He joined NBC News in 1966. From 1976 to 1981 he anchored Today on NBC. From 1983 to 2008 he was the anchor of NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. He has won every major broadcast journalism award. In 2014 Brokaw was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
