Reptiles and Amphibians of Afghanistan contains descriptions, photographs, and observations of herpetological species in Afghanistan. Every species identified includes a color photograph of the animal plus a description of its range, size, and personal observations by the author. It also contains a complete list of all the known species in the country and references for further study. The book is the result of three years of observation and study by the author and is intended as a quick, hand held guide for species identification. Written especially for service men and women, this book highlights dozens of the snakes, lizards, tortoises, frogs and toads they are most likely to encounter during their deployment there. Where possible the actual Forward Operating Base (FOB) where the animal was found is identified.
