Take a journey through The Book of Common Prayer, the Christian life, and basic beliefs of our faith, guided by two Episcopal priests - Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. Walk through the liturgical year, the sacraments of the church, habits of daily prayer, and the teachings of Anglican Christianity. See how our prayer shapes our belief and our lives and how our beliefs lead us into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
About author(s):
Scott Gunn is executive director of Forward Movement, a ministry of the Episcopal Church that inspires disciples and empowers evangelists. Scott travels widely as a speaker, retreat leader, and preacher. Before his work at Forward Movement, he was a parish priest in Rhode Island. He has worked in technology at nonprofits, a media company, and a university. His hobbies include photography and travel. Melody Wilson Shobe is an Episcopal priest who has served churches in Rhode Island and Texas. A passionate lover of the Bible, she hears God speaking in a new way every time she reads this extraordinary story. A graduate of Tufts University and the Virginia Theological Seminary, Melody serves as the associate for children and families at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Dallas, Texas. Melody, her husband, and their two daughters live in Dallas, where she spends her spare time reading stories, building forts, conquering playgrounds, baking cookies, and exploring nature.
