The Lost Art of Netting: A How-To Book with Pictures and Patterns for the Beginning Netter, Paperback

From fishing nets to beautiful lace, people have made netting for centuries, with the skills handed down from generation to generation. Netting used to be as common as knitting or crochet.

About the Author:

Rita F. Bartholomew learned to net doilies from her grandmother over 50 years ago. Over the years she has taught classes and individuals how to net. She started Knots Indeed over 15 years ago to introduce the art of netting on the internet. More recently she has created online classes that use videos to teach people how to net. She is a member of the New England Lace Group, the International Organization of Lace, Inc, and the International Guild of Knot Tyers. Her goal is to have people ask, "What are you netting?" instead of "Is that tatting?"
