Philosophy is about our lives and how we live them. Using a unique, visual approach to explore philosophical concepts, Adam Ferner shows how philosophy is one of our best tools for responding to the challenges of the modern world. From philosophical 'people skills' to ethical and moral questions about our lifestyle choices, philosophy teaches us to ask the right questions, even if it doesn't necessarily hold all the answers. With 20 dip-in sessions from history's great philosophers alongside today's most pioneering thinkers, this book will guide you to think deeply and differently. At Build and Become we believe in building knowledge that helps you navigate your world. Our books help you make sense of the changing world around you by taking you from concept to real-life application through 20 accessible lessons designed to make you think. Create your library of knowledge. For further information on Build&Become, follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
Adam M. Ferner has worked in academic philosophy in France and the UK, and in schools and youth centres around London. He's written two books - Think Differently (2018) and Organisms and Personal Identity (2016) - and has been a regular contributor to philosophy journals and magazines including The Philosophy Magazine. Adam works at the Royal Institute of Philosophy in London.
Think Deeply will be cowritten by Adam Feneer. We are in talks with Julian Baginni and Nigel Warburton about being contributors to co-write - either the full book or the introduction and endorsement. Adam Ferner is deputy editor of The Philosopher's Magazine, and has several academic publications - the most recent of which is his book, Organisms and Personal Identity, which was published by Routledge in 2016. He works at the Royal Institute of Philosophy and is associate researcher at Bordeaux Montaigne university. In addition to his philosophical work, he writes fiction under the pseudonym A.M. Moskovitz.
