Werner Herzog has produced some of the most powerful, haunting, and memorable images ever captured on film. Richard Eldridge is Charles and Harriett Cox McDowell Professor of Philosophy, Swarthmore College, USA. He is the author of five books and works in aesthetics and the philosophy of literature, the philosophy of language, and German philosophy.
