Having been thrown out of a perfectly good grammar school for being caught in possession of an alternative mindset, Lucinda found an outlet for her passion for the written word in the heady days of feminist publishing, working for the Women's Press and Quartet in London. A period of travel in Africa and Asia inspired in her a lifelong interest in wildlife, as well as in shamanic practices.
